The Indian Canyons Modernism Week Progressive dinner happened on Feb 14, 2026.
Tickets sold out fast, as we were a highlighted event on the Modernism website and their Advertising.
The ICNO Board would like to thank our gracious homeowners who shared their homes for the Progressive dinner on Caliente Street.

If you missed this event, be on the lookout for a possible repeat in 2028.

DETAILS OF THE DINNER:

Cocktail Hour (House # 1)

• Dress as your favorite celebrity couple, iconic individual, or legendary Palm Springs figure from the 1950s, 1960s, or 1970s, and step back in time for a night of architecture, history, and culinary delights.
• Sip classic Old-Fashioned, gimlets, wine and sparkling beverages while savoring tray-passed hors d’oeuvres
• Hostess, comedian, columnist, actress, midcentury maven, Queen of Palm Springs….and TUPPERWARE LADY!!!— ETHYLINA will be on hand to greet guests for photographs.
• The Sweethearts Doo Wop singers will walk among the guests singing period music as you mingle in a setting reminiscent of Palm Springs’ golden era.

1960s–Dinner Course (House #2)

• Next, move to a beautiful 1960s home for interactive food stations offering hot and cold delicacies paired with wine and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Our Mer-men will be poolside, while local duo Leanna & Miguel will entertain guests with hits of the 60s evoking a decade of milestones.

1970s–Dessert and Dance Finale (House #3)

• The evening concludes in true 1970s style with disco lights flashing and Giant Disco Balls, think Studio 54 in N.Y.C. and you are transported back in time !
• DJ Galaxy spinning iconic hits as our male and female Go-Go Dancers boogie it down!
• Enjoy indulgent desserts like angel food cake, rainbow Jell-O mold and mini lemon chiffon pies alongside classic cocktails.
• As you dance under the desert sky, experience the vibrant spirit of Palm Springs at its most glamorous.

• “One of the safest communities in Palm Springs.” – Police Chief Andy Mills
  (Citing only 7 total crimes in ICNO throughout 2025.)
• Chief Mills also noted that homelessness is down with the police force keeping track of less than half the number of individuals compared to last year. The police give a homeless person one of three choices:

• The Police are also starting to use AI and drones to monitor criminal activity and solve crimes, while being mindful of privacy rules. Lastly, he thanked ICNO for its contribution to “Shop with a Cop” program which benefits kids who otherwise might not have presents on Christmas.
• Potential SFR development in the vacant lots next to Travelodge. Plan for 62 homes has been submitted to the city for review.
• Derelict building behind Smoketree Ralph’s… Newly red tagged, demolition expected soon. Plus, the recycling center lease has not been extended.
• S Toledo Ave is getting repaved in the near future.
• Bridge development on Palm Canyon and Sunny Dunes: “Ahead of schedule… Expected to finish early 2027.” – Mayor Naomi Soto

Manager of Economic Development for the Agua Caliente Tribe of Cahuilla Indians: 
Casey Engelman Manager of Economic Development Agua Caliente Tribe of Cahuilla Indians. , Tribal representation is working on negotiations for an extension with the allottees of the ICNO land. He stated that he would attend a meeting between the Tribe and the allottees to discuss the renewal for the lease of the golf course land. Once that was settled, they would discuss a new lease for the land ICNO’s houses sit on. They are mindful of the preference of having at least 35 years left on a lease to secure a mortgage which means we need to have a new lease in place by 2028. There is no negotiation between us, the homeowners, and the allottees. Once a new lease is offered, we have the choice to sign it or not. We will share any updates as they develop.

The Indian Canyons Neighborhood Organization (ICNO) Spring Cocktail Party was held on Saturday, April 11th, from 4:30 pm -7:30 pm and hosted by our neighbor Rick Christie who graciously opened his beautiful home at 2262 S. Yosemite.

Unfortunately, we did not capture photos of the event this year but we plan on fixing this issue for our next event in the fall.

Our parties are a terrific way to stay connected with many of our fantastic, diverse and interesting neighbors. We are always on the lookout for Indian Canyons homes to hold our 2 parties a year, as well as for our Modernism tour in February each year.

The Indian Canyons Neighborhood Organization (ICNO) fall Cocktail Party was held on Saturday, November 11th, from 4:00pm -7:00pm. Our generous neighbors Christopher Kennedy and David Clark, graciously opened their beautiful home at 994 Balboa Circle.

Their home has recently undergone a significant renovation and has an extensive backyard/entertaining space that easily accommodated the 235 registered attendees. Refreshments included cocktails, beer, wine and passed catered bites.

Our parties are a terrific way to stay connected with many of our fantastic, diverse and interesting neighbors. We are always on the lookout for Indian Canyons homes to hold our 2 parties a year, as well as for our Modernism tour in February each year.
